My story

I believe flowers should bring joy! Hannah Evans Flowers is a small personal floral studio that is a culmination of many years of growing, designing and loving flowers. Rooted in heritage and shaped by a modern approach, my studio brings together generations of horticultural passion with an appreciation of seasonal floristry and a love for what I do.

Trained at the Sussex Flower School, I blend technical expertise with a refined creative style. With over 20 years’ experience delivering high-profile events across Royal Palaces, five-star hotels and iconic venues throughout London, the UK and Europe, I understand how beautifully designed flowers can transform an occasion—from intimate gatherings to large-scale celebrations. I also recognise the important role flowers play in remembering and commemorating a loved one.

A Heritage of Horticulture

A love of flowers runs deep in the Evans family. More than 150 years ago, my husband’s family traded as H Evans & Sons, nurserymen and Covent Garden florists known for their strapline “Say it with Flowers.” Their legacy continues today through Ruxley Manor Garden Centre, run by my brilliant husband and his equally brilliant cousin.

My own family roots are equally intertwined with flowers. My grandfather was a market gardener in Jersey, happiest when knee-deep in his glasshouses. My wonderful mum—an extraordinary gardener and talented florist—has inspired my green fingers for as long as I can remember. Now my six-year-old son has joined the tradition, tending to his vegetable patch and proudly staking his sunflowers. Flowers, both in my home and my garden, have always brought joy—and that joy informs every design I create.

My Approach

Every commission begins with listening (and a decent cup of coffee!). I take the time to understand your vision, your venue and the atmosphere you want to create. From the first concept to the final stem, my focus is on:

My business

Our own wedding flowers were planned with a wonderful florist at her kitchen table, pen and paper in hand. No detail was too small and no conversation was too long. That experience shaped the way I work today: when you choose me, you get my time, my attention and my full focus to make sure your flowers are exactly what you want.

I use seasonal flowers and UK growers whenever possible, and I’m committed to creating arrangements that are as eco-friendly as they are beautiful—avoiding single-use plastics and non-compostable mechanics wherever I can.
